OXFORD – A bingo basket fund-raiser for Special Olympics participants in the Oxford Hills will be held Sunday, Dec. 12, at the Oxford Legion Hall on King Street.

The bingo event, featuring Longaberger baskets filled with goodies as well as raffles and door prizes, will open at 11 a.m., with games starting at 12:30 p.m.

Proceeds will benefit the Oxford Hills Special Olympics elementary and middle school team. The team has athletes representing all eight towns in SAD 17 who will compete in all state-level Special Olympics competitions in 2005.

The fund-raising event will also feature hot dishes, desserts and beverages available for purchase. Tickets are $10 for 16 games.
