LIVERMORE FALLS – The Red Cross bloodmobile will be at Murray Hall on Route 4 from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14.
“Blood is a perishable commodity, lasting only 42 days. Platelets, a component of blood used in cancer therapy, last only five days,” said Thomas Miller of the Red Cross. “Because blood cannot be collected and simply sorted for future use, every blood drive must be successful; 300 to 350 pints are needed daily in the state of Maine.”
People may call Glenna Googins at 625-8215 or the American Red Cross at (800) 482-0743 to make an appointment.
