SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – Mark A. Lamothe Sr., 44, of South Hadley, Mass., went home to be with the Lord, in the early morning hours of Dec. 5, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was at home with his soul mate and wife of 12 years, Lee, and his family at his side.

He was born Nov. 24, 1960, in Putnum, Conn., the son of Norman R. and June E. Lamothe.

He graduated from Lisbon High School in 1980 and then entered the Navy, where he retired as a First Class Petty Officer in 2000.

He was a loving husband and father and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lee; his mother, June, and stepfather, Bob Doucette, of Maine; in-laws, Tony and Shirley Stefanwich, of Massachusetts; one daughter, Nicole, of Maine; one son, Mark A. Jr., of Rhode Island.; four brothers, Norman R. Jr., Richard J. and John W., of Maine, and Robert M., of Missouri; two sisters, Sharon and Debra, of Maine; and four grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his father, Norman R. Lamothe Sr.
