RANGELEY – The first Mountain Holly Days will be held Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 11 and 12, in Rangeley and Oquossoc. There will be discounts for Christmas shoppers and a full schedule of entertainment for people of all ages.

Shops in the two villages will hold a Best-Decorated-Store competition. Restaurants will feature special seasonal treats.

Santa will appear from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Nancy’s Gifts, and caroling will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at Rangeley Lakes Builders Supply and from 1 to 2 p.m. at Collector’s Cabin.

On Sunday, sleigh rides will be offered at 2 p.m. at the BMC Diner. The annual Walk to Bethlehem will be held at 5:30 p.m. in Rangeley Village.

There will be raffles for prizes as varied as a Christmas tree loaded with decorations and gift certificates. Child care will be available at the Congregational Church Barn.
