TOPSHAM – Mr. and Mrs. Richard W. Allen of Burlington, Mass., are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Rebekah Lyn Allen, to Nathan Michael McConnell, son of Ailene Bradley of Lincolnton, N.C., and G. Michael McConnell of Topsham.

The future bride is a graduate of the Open Bible Academy of Burlington, Mass., and is a student at Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Fla. She plans to finish college in December and will have a degree in missions.

Mr. McConnell is a graduate of Pensacola Christian College in Florida with a degree in evangelism. He is currently working on his master’s degree in seminary. He has been spending his recent summers as a counselor at the Bill Rice Ranch for the Deaf in Murfreesboro, Tenn., and will be starting as an employee during the summer of 2005.

A Jan. 8 wedding is planned at the Church of the Open Bible in Burlington, Mass.
