BUCKSPORT – Irene J. (Laflamme) Gowen, 81, passed away peacefully, Saturday, Dec. 11, at an Ellsworth hospital.

She was born April 16, 1923 in Lewiston, the daughter of Armand and Emilina (Demers) Laflamme.

She married Ralph V. Gowen, her beloved husband, Aug. 12, 1965.

She loved making decorative pillows and gave them out to all of her family and friends. She loved attending and being involved with her church and was a kind, compassionate and giving lady.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Ralph Gowen of Bucksport; a daughter, Linda DuBois of Dixfield; a grandson, Sean DuBois of Dixfield; three sisters, Armande Corcoran of Poland, Doris Marquis of Lewiston, and Deloris Asselin of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by four sisters and three brothers.
