FARMINGTON – Franklin Community Health Network has announced that Gunnar Johnson and Brianna Love are the grand-prize winners for this year’s holiday card contest. They will each receive a $100 savings bond.
Gunnar’s design, featuring a snowman and snowfall, will be the cover of next year’s Franklin Community Health Network holiday card, and Brianna’s message, “Family is the heart of the season,” will be featured inside. Gunnar attends Rangeley Lakes Regional School and Brianna attends Livermore Elementary School.
Franklin Memorial Hospital community relations manager Jill Gray said, “We once again had a tremendous response, with hundreds of entries received from area schools.”
Eighteen runner-up winners from 11 area schools were selected. They are: Hannah Allen and Donna-Jo Smith, Cascade Brook School; James McCabe, Mallett School; Makayla Franke, Kingfield Elementary School; Clarissa Chamberlain, Livermore Elementary School; Tyler Huff and Mikayla Luce, Strong Elementary School; Paula Despres, Jay Middle School; Katrina Bright and Astra Pierson, Academy Hill School; Czari Cochrane and John Sherrier, Stratton Elementary School; Izaiha Tracy and Alyssa Williams, Cape Cod Hill School; Seth Collins and Missy Sampson, Western Maine Christian Academy; Alanna Lauter, Rangeley Lakes Regional School; and Ashley Tardif, who is home-schooled.
All winners and their families, as well as school personnel, are being invited to a celebration and awards ceremony at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21 in the hospital’s Bass Room. Hospital President Richard Batt will present certificates and prizes, including $10 cash prizes to all the runners-up.
