AVON – Judging for Avon’s annual holiday decorating contest will take place during the early evening hours on Saturday, Dec. 18.

Residents don’t need to register to participate. They must live in Avon and help make the town shine, organizers said. Judges plan to view all streets.

Avon residents who want to make sure they are included in the judging, or who want to point out a particular location, are asked to call the Town Office at 639-5326 with the information.

Prizes will be: first place, $100; second place, $50; and third place, $25. Prize money will be mailed to the winners the week before Christmas.

Prize money has been donated by the Avon Diner, Dunham’s Lobster Pot, GCA Logging and Rupert Potter & Son Excavating & Logging.
