FARMINGTON – Helen D. Bubier, 78, of Wilton, died late Wednesday evening, Dec. 15, at Franklin Memorial Hospital, Farmington.

She was born in Flagstaff, Sept. 23, 1926, a daughter of Frank and Beatrice Wing Donahue Sr. She graduated from Kingfield High School in 1945. She went on to take accounting and secretarial courses at the Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center in Fishersville, Va.

In July of 1966 she married James Clifford Bubier in Kingfield. He died in 1977.

Mrs. Bubier served as the Franklin County Emergency Management director for many years, while also preparing personal income taxes during the tax season.

She served on the board of directors for Work First in Farmington, and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Wilton. She taught Sunday school for many years, and also served as the treasurer there.

She also was a member of the Franklin Grange #50.

She enjoyed reading, making plastic canvas crafts, and music.

She is survived by two brothers, Edward Donahue and his wife, Marion, of Dixon, Mo., and Ralph Donahue of Norfolk, Va.; six sisters, Olive Bradbury of Milbridge, Christine Woodward of Temple, Ruth White of Kingfield, Ethel Bardsley and her husband, Russ, of Farmington Falls, Georgie Woodford and her husband, George, of Kingfield, and Faye Chadbourne of Kingfield; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Frank Donahue Jr.
