PORTLAND – Tickets are on sale for the band Strangefolk’s New Year’s Eve concert at the State Theatre.
Strangefolk has since built a national following based on sales from its four studio CD releases (“Lore,” “Weightless in Water,” “A Great Long While” and “Open Road”), one live release (“Coast to Coast”), its touring schedule and an annual festival that the band has funded and hosted for seven years called Strangefolk’s Garden of Eden.
Rock, folk, blues, and bluegrass influences converge to create the band’s sound, which is punctuated with Strangefolk’s three-part harmonies and soaring lead guitars.
Tickets are available at the State Theatre box office, 609 Congress St. (open noon to 6 p.m., Tuesday to Saturday), Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster by phone at (207) 775-3331 and online at www.LiveAtTheState.com.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of show, general admission. The concert is for all ages.
