ORONO – The University of Maine football team will take a giant step in their football program as they open the season against perinial powerhouse Nebraska in Lincoln, Nebraska, September 5, 2005.

“This is an exciting opportunity to play a team from the Big 12” said head football coach Jack Cosgrove. “This will be a challenge for our players to risew to the level of play against a Division 1_A opponent.”
