AUBURN – Day’s Jewelers Peewee Travel team of Auburn Youth Hockey compiled a 2-0-1 record in weekend action. Saturday, Auburn blanked Casco Bay 3-0 as Cody Violette goaled the shutout, making 9 saves. Mat Gordon tallied 2 goals and Kolby Arnold the other. Assists went to Cody Russell, Dylan Nadeau, Tim Millett, Matt Cote and Jordan Haskell. . . Auburn and Kennebec skated to a 3-3 tie Sunday as Violette stopped 12 more shots. Millett collected 2 goals and an assist. Russell added a goal and an assist. Also assisting were Isaac Reed and Arnold. . . Nadeau popped 6 goals to power Auburn to an 11-1 victory over the Gorham Huskies. Also lighting the lamp were Haskell (2), Gordon, and Russell (2). Credited with assists were Nadeau (2), Haskell (3), Gordon (3), Millett (4) and Arnold (2). Violette was the winning goalie.

St. Dom’s girls win

BRIDGTON – Ari Olbrych scored on a breakaway in the first period to lead St. Dom’s to a 3-1 victory over Fryeburg in girls’ hockey action Friday. Avery Olbrych scored in the second period, and Renee Meservier capped the St. Dom’s scoring in the last chapter.
