Ms. Melissa Goding is a new teacher at Monmouth Middle School. She teaches the 5th and 6th grade class. When asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, she stated ” a teacher or an architect.” She chose a teacher because she stated, ” she loves working with children and being a life long learner herself.” Before coming to Monmouth, she worked in Auburn, Maine as a substitute teacher.

Mr. Stott

This year there is a new band teacher at the Monmouth School System. Mr. Tom Stott is from Albany, New York and has been playing music for 20 years.

He’s been teaching since 1997 and is very excited to be teaching at Monmouth.

Mr. Stott first realized he wanted to teach while driving an Ice Cream truck, The children he dealt with didn’t know how to make change so he taught them how to do so. He combined the teaching and the music and found what he enjoyed the most.

This talented Saxophone player has played with the Atlantica Saxophone quartet. Sax Quintet, and a Ska group. We are very happy to have such a dedicated band teacher helping our students learn the wonderful world of Music!
