MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) – Yanick Lehoux had a goal and an assist as the Manchester Monarchs skated past the Portland Pirates 2-1 Sunday.
Dustin Brown also added a power play goal with 52 seconds left in the second period for Manchester.
Lehoux tied the score for the Monarchs in the first after Boyd Gordon put the Pirates on the board. He held onto the puck to pull Portland goalie Maxime Ouellet out of position, then tucked it into an open net.
He also fed Brown the puck in the second, helping boost the Monarchs to victory.
Mathieu Garon had 27 saves in the winning effort, including six in the third to preserve the win. Ouellet also stopped 27 shots for Portland.
