SOUTH PARIS – John Franklin Cadman, 27, of Kenduskeag, died unexpectedly Monday afternoon, Dec. 27, while working in South Paris.

He was born on May 3, 1977, the son of Pam Gaudreau and John Cadman.

He graduated from South Portland High School and worked in the communication and banking industries. John was in the process of establishing his own communication company in the Bangor area at the time of his death.

He had a great listening ear, a compassionate heart, and a laugh that was contagious.

He enjoyed fishing with his grandfather, hunting with his father and kayaking. He was active in the theater in the Bangor area.

He is survived by his wife, the former Janel Hersey, whom he married Oct. 10; his mother, Pam Gaudreau; his father and step-mother, John and Kathie Cadman; a sister, Amanda Labbe; paternal grandmother, Gwendolyn Cadman; maternal grandmother, Margaret Spencer; maternal grandfather, George Smith; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, including Missy Nevells and Sarah Marean.
