DURHAM – In their final meeting before the close of the fiscal year on Friday, selectmen approved two spending items and granted one tax abatement.

Approved was the annual Trio Software license and support contract for the town’s tax-assessing and motor vehicle registration software, at cost of $2,996.50.

The board also voted to replace a computer tape drive for $805.70.

In their capacity as the Board of Assessors, selectmen granted Calvin Bowie a tax abatement for 2002 taxes totaling $482.25, plus any interest and fees that were erroneously assessed.

No action was taken on another abatement for Jerry Griffis.
