AUBURN – John “Jack” Dubuc, a disabled war veteran and alumnus of Edward Little High School who resides on Brighton Hill Road in Minot, contacted the school to ask for assistance with his flower gardens last fall.
Administrator Bill Luce, Carole Wise’s English class and Scot MacDonald’s work study class volunteered to plant some 1,000-plus bulbs in Dubuc’s gardens.
Dubuc offered to pay for the help and the students requested that a donation be made to the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society.
On Dec. 16 the students presented a check from Dubuc in the amount of $200 to society Director Steve Dostie.
