LEWISTON – Arlene Ardelle Miller, 93, a resident of College Rd., in Greene, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, at Central Maine Medical Center, in Lewiston, where she was a patient since Dec. 24. Prior to being in the hospital she had a two month stay at Clover Manor, in Auburn, and prior to staying in Clover Manor, she lived at The Meadows in Greene, Maine.

She was born Aug. 9, 1911, in Lewiston, the daughter of Percy L. and Bertha J. (Springer) Parker. She attended Waldo elementary school in Belfast, and graduated in 1929, from Edward Little High School, in Auburn.

On Sept. 28, 1929, she married Francis S. Field, in Auburn. Mr. Field died, in 1985. In 1989, she married Nathan Miller, and he died in 2003. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Later she worked as a counselor at the Stevens Training Center for Girls, in Hallowell, as a clerk at Mammoth Mart, in Lewiston, and she worked in housekeeping, for 11 years, at Greene Acres Manor, in Greene. She was a member of No. 8 Grange, of Greene, Greene Senior Citizens, and she was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, in Lewiston.

She is survived by four sons, Maynard F. Field, and his wife Ruth, of Killingworth, Conn, Ray D. Field and his wife Esther, of Greene, Percy A. Field and his wife Elizabeth, of Augusta, and Lloyd E. Field, and his wife Dawn, of Hendersonville, Tenn.; numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Lloyd I. Parker, in 1967.
