And the killing goes on. And more troops are wounded. Isn’t it heartwarming to know that Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld is personally signing letters he’s sending to families of our dead and wounded service people? Now they can frame his signature under the picture and gold star of their dead child or proudly show it to their child who is horribly maimed. And for what? To democratize a country where the people do not want to be democratized.
President Bush lied, saying we have enough troops in Iraq (now he’s sending thousands more). He lied saying we don’t need a draft (now he’s offering thousands of dollars to people to enlist). He lied saying unemployment is decreasing (he doesn’t tell you that millions have used up their unemployment benefits and are working for minimum wage). Bush says our troops are not dying in vain. Then let his family do the honorable thing and send some of their boys and girls to Iraq to “not die in vain.”
Bush lies about everything. He won’t admit to any mistakes he’s made, and boy, has he made mistakes. The people who voted for him deserve everything they’re going to get. They’re going to get a great legacy for their children and grandchildren – trillions of dollars of debt. And of course, they’ll be the first ones to complain.
