Dance classes

LEWISTON – Irish dancing classes will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 10, 17 and 31, at St. Patrick’s Church Hall, corner of Blake and Walnut streets. Beginners are welcome. LISBON – The National Association of Insurance Women – Androscoggin Valley will meet Wednesday, Jan. 12, at Graziano’s Restaurant, Main Street, Route 196.

The meeting will begin with a social hour at 5 p.m. and dinner at 5:45. The program for the evening will be a 30-minute class, “Time Management,” presented by Betsy Hutchins.

The National Association of Insurance Women (International) is an association of insurance professionals dedicated to the development of leaders in the insurance industry.

AUBURN – Fidelity Rebekah Lodge will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, when members will collect for the March of Dimes.

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Jan. 3 were: N/S, first, Paul Beegel and Roger Briggs; second, Anna Vitiello and Randy Silver; third, Cynthia Bonsey and Janice Wolfe; E/W, first, Don Johnson and Dick Allen; second, Luke Merry and Ray Sirois; third, Renette and Joe Reinhardt; fourth, Edwina Pontbriand and Dot Murray.

A STaC Tournament will be played on Monday, Jan. 17, at Schooner Estates, 200 Stetson Rd., Auburn. The special game will be played at several sites in New England and only silver points will be awarded.

An eight-week beginner bridge class will be offered at the Multi-Purpose Center from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. starting Monday, Jan. 24. Call the Senior Citizen Office at 784-2926, ext. 207, to register. The class is open to the public.

The Lewiston-Auburn Duplicate Bridge Club met on Dec. 28 at the Multi-Purpose Center. The Club Championship winners in Flight A were Nancy Farmer and Lucille Theriault. Placing second, Fred Letourneau and Rosemarie Goodwin; third, Ron Reynolds and Ray Sirois; fourth, Peter Cummings and Dick Allen; fifth, Roger Briggs and Lucille Bilodeau.

Winners in Flight B were: first, Ron Reynolds and Ray Sirois; second, Peter Cummings and Dick Allen; third, Roger Briggs and Lucille Bilodeau. Flight C winners were Eleanor Abraham and Alberta Turner.

The club also had a Club Championship Game on Dec. 29 at Schooner Estates. Overall winners were: first, Mike St. John and Dot Kelleher; second, David Lock and Jeanine Kivus; third, Paul Barber and Luke Merry; fourth, John Hackett and Ray Sirois; fifth, Mike and Pat Quinn.

North/South winners were: first, Mike St. John and Dot Kelleher; second, David Lock and Jeanine Kivus; third, Leslie Buzzell and Jim Flanagan. East/West winners were: first, Paul Barber and Luke Merry; second, John Hackett and Ray Sirois; third, Mike and Pat Quinn. Another game will be held at Schooner Estates at 7 p.m. Jan. 5.
