NEWINGTON, N.H. (AP) – The company that owns Boston-Maine Airways is planning to move a large part of its operation from New Hampshire to Florida.

Guilford Transportation has been talking with the Federal Aviation Administration about moving operations from the Pease International Tradeport to Sanford, Fla., the Union Leader reported Wednesday.

Guilford also ran Pan Am Airways out of Pease until last fall. It has a maintenance operation at Pease that employs about 50 people.

Boston-Maine took over Pan Am operations in October.
