NEWRY – BubbleMania, an effervescent entertainment that combines artistic skills, comedy and, of course, bubbles, will be at Sunday River Ski Resort Jan. 11. The show featuring “bubble-ologist” Casey Carle is part of the Black Diamond Family Entertainment Series.
Specializing in the “science, art and comedy” of bubbles, Carle makes big bubbles, little bubbles, long serpent bubbles, bubbles that “jump” on a trampoline, bubbles that “walk” a tightrope, a square bubble, bubbles shaped like a spaceship and giant bubbles that encase people inside.
Carle, who earned a B.A. in drama and a Bachelor of Fun Arts from The Ringling Bros. Clown College, has worked professionally in theater since 1985. In 1990, he went solo and full-time with BubbleMania.
Showtime is 7 p.m. in the grand ballroom of the Grand Summit Resort Hotel at Sunday River. Tickets: $4 for children 12 and under and $6 for adults in advance; or $6 and $8 at the door.
