SOUTH HIRAM – Junior forward Michelle Libby splashed nine field goals for 18 points and lead Sacopee Valley to a 49-41 victory over Buckfield in girls’ basketball action Saturday.

The Hawks received fine offensive support from Katie Pike and Melissa Verrill, scoring 17 and 10 points, respectively.

Freshman guard Alyssa Henderson nailed three field goals from beyond the arc in the second half, but the Bucks (3-7) simply ran out of steam down the stretch. Junior forward Shayna Shackford tallied 10 points to match Henderson’s effort.
