LEICESTER, Mass. – Trafton Teague tallied a team-high 18 points as the University of Maine at Farmington rolled over Becker College 95-59 in men’s basketball Sunday.
Bobby Deetjen added 14 points with five assists and four 3-pointers for the Beavers (8-4).
Barett Dziok scored a game-high 21 points along with five 3-pointers for Becker (1-10). Both teams were on fire from the perimeter.
Becker nailed 11 3-pointers and UMF drained 13.
Husson 86, Johnson State 80
JOHNSON, Vt. – Tyler Muzzy drained a game-high 31 points along with four 3-pointers to lead Husson College to an 86-80 win over Johnson State College in men’s basketball Sunday.
Buddy Leavitt scored 24 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for the Braves (7-5).
Elms 86, Thomas 80
CHICOPEE, Mass. – Renato Lindmets tallied 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds to propel Elms College to an 86-80 victory over Thomas College in men’s basketball on Sunday.
John Ancrum and Kyle Seyboth combined for 35 points for Elms (7-4). Adam Rich had an outstanding game with 26 points and four 3-pointers for Thomas (4-9).
Women’s basketball
UMF 72, Becker 45
LEICESTER, Mass. – Karen Sirois scored 19 points to carry the University of Maine at Farmington to a 72-45 victory over Becker College in women’s basketball Sunday.
Kari Simpson also chipped in with 15 points.
Jocelyn McNair dominated the boards with 12 rebounds and also scored 10 points for Becker (4-7). Michelle Stockwell led Becker with 14 points.
Hussson 88, Johnson State 43
Johnson, Vt. – Holly Gracie drained 20 points and six 3-pointers to lead Husson College to a 88-43 victory over Johnson State in women’s basketball Sunday.
Carmen Ballard scored 15 points and had five assists for the Braves (5-7)
Nicole Gokey led Johnson State with 14 points. Husson led 52-14 at halftime.
Thomas 72, Elms 48
CHICOPEE, Mass. – Tammy Flower had an outstanding game with 24 points and nine rebounds to carry Thomas College to a 72-48 win against Elms College in women’s basketball on Sunday.
Samantha Davis also tallied 23 points for Thomas (5-6).
Danielle Dugre led Elms (2-8) with 11 points.
