POLAND – Gray/New Gloucester Patriot Football is sponsoring its second annual Ice Fishing derby on February 5 at Middle and Upper Range Ponds.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $1 for children with a family maximum of $15. Tickets are available at Dag’s Bait Shop in Auburn; Mooney’s Bait Shop in New Gloucester; and Allen’s Country Store in Cumberland. On the day of the derby, tickets will be available at the Flying Lobster on Middle Range Pond, and at the boat ramp on Upper Range.

Fishing will be allowed from one-half hour before sunrise to 4 p.m.

Weigh-in station will be at the Flying Lobster on Route 26. First prize is an L.L. Bean 3-person ice shelter; second is $150; and third is $100. For children 12-under, first prize is $50. There will be door prizes drawn throughout the day.

Proceeds will benefit the Gray-NG High School and the Middle School football programs.
