For numerous years, the Lisbon High School Interact Club has donated their time by helping the Salvation Army. During the holiday season, members from this club stand outside local stores in Lisbon. We rang bells to encourage our community to donate money. As a member for two years now, I’ve helped in the bell-ringing at Roopers in Lisbon. It is always an enjoyable time for me as I get to converse with my friends and teachers, see new faces from Lisbon, and most importantly help those who are less fortunate. Just a simple two hours on the weekend is so rewarding to me because I know I’m helping others in this time of joy and celebration. So don’t forget to support your local Salvation Army when you hear those bells ringing and throughout the year.
