LEWISTON – The St. Dom’s girls hockey team earned a pair of wins in recent action.

Erica Van Der Werf scored the first goal as the Saints defeated the Lewiston Lady Blue Devils 5-1 Saturday. Also lighting the lamp were Avery Olbrych, assisted by Brittane Michaud; Sami Monette, with Alyssa Plourde assisting; Tessa Matthews, with Kathrine Galick drawing an assist; and Plourde, assisted by Lauren Laplante. The latter rebound goal was scored with just 2 ticks left on the clock. Chelsea Gagnon dented the twines off a rebound at 2:07 of the third period for the lone LHS goal. Both goalies performed well, Ashley Noyes for the Saints, and Stephanie Gondek for the Lady Blue Devils.

St. Dom’s also blanked Falmouth 8-0 Sunday as sophomores Matthews and Michaud each netted 2 goals. Kaylee Tyburski tallied the first goal, assisted by Olbrych. Cameo Larrivee also popped a goal in the opening frame, assisted by Bri Landry and Danielle Theriault. Plourde scored in the third period, with Theriault receiving an assist.
