FARMINGTON – Andrew H. Sturtevant of Fayette has been promoted to vice president for loan administration at Franklin Savings Bank.
Since joining the bank a little more than a year ago, Sturtevant has overseen the conversion of new mortgage origination and installment loan software, both of which speed up loan processing. He also succeeded in having Franklin Savings recognized by the Small Business Administration as an SBA Express lender, which enables the bank to process SBA loans quickly for commercial customers.
Sturtevant came to Franklin Savings Bank with more than 20 years of banking experience in management and lending. His great-grandfather Chester Sturtevant was the founding president of Livermore Falls Trust. His grandfather Reginald Sturtevant and father, Arnold Sturtevant, were presidents of Livermore Falls Trust.
Andrew Sturtevant also worked at Livermore Falls Trust, later to become part of Androscoggin Savings Bank, as vice president and branch manager of the Jay and Livermore Falls branches.
His new duties include responsibility for all loan-related operational functions and controls.
Sturtevant is in the second year of a three-year program at the National School of Banking. He has also been working toward a bachelor of science degree in business administration at the University of Maine at Augusta. He is a 1983 graduate of Augusta Christian School in Windsor.
He lives with his wife, Lisa, and their two sons in Fayette.
