PHOENIX, Ariz. – Albert J. Dube, of Mesa, Ariz., and East Livermore, passed away Dec. 15, 2004 in surgery at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, Ariz., after a lengthy heart illness.

Born in Lewiston, Feb. 4, 1926, the son of George and Angelina (Lavasseur) Dube, he attended school in Lewiston.

He was a World War II veteran, proudly serving his country in the U.S. Navy. He retired from the Navy as CPO after serving 28 years.

He was a loving and devoted husband to Anni Christensen Dube, whom he married in Copenhagen, Denmark, on June 1, 1957.

After his retirement in 1971, he returned to Lewiston and worked at Saunders.

In 1981, Albert and Anni moved to Mesa, Ariz. They spent their summers in East Livermore.

Survivors include his wife of Mesa, Ariz.; three daughters, Sherry Stevens and her fianc, Barry Wright, of East Livermore, Angelina and husband, Steve Kelly, of Gilbert, Ariz., and Jackie Jones of Chandler, Ariz.; a brother, Claude Dube of Auburn; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Lawrence and Phillip Dube; and two sisters, Jeanette Storman and Dorothy Small.
