PORTLAND – Jane Leslie Wing, 57, a resident of Main Street, died at Maine Medical Center, Portland, Friday afternoon, with her family at her side.

She was born May 24, 1947, the daughter of George “Bing” and Mable (Allen) Moore and was educated in the schools of Lisbon Falls.

On Aug. 13, 1963, she married Russell A. Wing Jr. in Lisbon Falls.

She was employed for the last 41 years of her life as co-owner and operator of Russell Wing Stables, boarding and training harness racing horses.

She was a member of M.H.H.A. and the U.S.T.A. She occasionally attended West Bowdoin Baptist Church with her mother.

Jane’s life was training and racing harness horses. Her favorite racing horse over the years was named Kennebec and she enjoyed several years of racing with him. She looked forward to Fair season, having attended and raced at many Country Fairs over the years.
