PORTLAND – Maximus Asa Moss, 26 days old, passed away early Friday morning, Jan. 14, at the Maine Medical Center Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Portland.

He was born on Dec. 20, 2004, at Maine Medical Center.

“Max” is survived by his parents, Augustus Leon Moss Jr. and Elaine Gammon Moss of Portland; his grandparents, Dick and Rita Gammon of Auburn, Cora Lawrence of Westland, Mich., and Augustus Leon Moss Sr. of Inkster, Mich.; a great-grandmother, Alice Melloni of Auburn; and a step-sister, Sevvrin Moss of Redford, Mich.

Max was dearly loved by his friends and family and the staff at the NICU. His sweet face will live long in the minds of all who met him.
