LEWISTON – Genevieve B. Bor, 81, a resident since June of the Marshwood Center in Lewiston, formerly of Wilton, passed away following a brief illness on Jan. 16, at Central Maine Medical Center, with her family by her side.

She was born in Perth Amboy, N.J., on Sept. 18, 1923, the daughter of Mary and Martin Levandoski. She married Frank Bor Jr. on Feb. 2, 1944 and spent their early married life in the New Brunswick, N.J. area.

They moved to Caracas, Venezuela in 1960, then returned to the United States after 14 years and settled in Wilton to be with their son and family.

She worked at G.H. Bass as a quality control inspector for a number of years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, golf, and especially spending time with her family at their camp on Pease Pond in Wilton.

After retirement, she and her husband split their time between their residence in Dunedin, Fla., and their summer home at camp on Pease Pond. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and an excellent cook.

Survivors include three sons, Gary and wife, Karen, of Jay, Gregory and wife, Bonnie, of Mount Vernon, and Glenn of Woodbridge, N.J.; four grandchildren, Jason and Stefanie of Jay, and Gregory and Kimberly of Mount Vernon; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by Frank, her beloved husband of 60 years, who passed away in September of 2004; and two sisters, Martha and Eleanor.
