PERU – The town clerk has scheduled an animal rabies clinic to be held from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, at the Peru Fire Station. The cost will be $11. Dog licenses are due as well. Those owners not licensing their dogs prior to Monday, Jan. 31, will incur an additional $15 late fee. Nomination papers remain available for the following elected positions: 2 selectmen/assessor/overseer of the poor; road commissioner; fire chief; and SAD 21 director. The deadline for returning signed nomination papers is Monday, Jan. 31.

Healthy networking

RUMFORD – The next monthly Community Networking Meeting sponsored by the River Valley Healthy Communities Coalition is scheduled for noon Thursday, Jan. 27, (bring your lunch). The meeting will be held at Scrappers DoMaine on Canal Street in Rumford.

The speaker will be Tina Sirois, director of the River Valley Wellness Center in Mexico.

Tina will discuss programs and resources available at the center.

There will also be updates on other organization’s community activities including programs of the Healthy Communities.
