LEWISTON – Trinity Episcopal Church, 247 Bates St., will hold a church service at noon Thursday, Jan. 20, to coincide with the presidential inauguration. Prayers will be offered for the country and its leaders.

Though the service will be in the Episcopal Church tradition, parishioners welcome anyone to attend.

Social justice songs will commemorate the rights of all Americans and the values of diversity, equality, community and peace. Communion will be included and all are welcome.

Club program

AUBURN – The Auburn Art Club will meet at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, at the High Street Congregational Church. Stephanie Anthony of Mount Vernon will present designs, acrylic and beaded work. Serving as hostesses will be Martha Preble, Ruth Horsman, Margaret Bunker and Janet Pelletier.

AUBURN – The Young at Heart Fellowship will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, at the Court Street Baptist Church. There will be a business meeting. Devotions will be led by Flo Anneag of the Court Street Baptist Church.

There will be a potluck luncheon at noon, and members are reminded to bring items for the luncheon they signed up for at the December meeting and a place setting.

The program will be given by Barbara Randall, retired Auburn teacher. She will show slides from her trips to Iceland and Germany.

Camp event

KC Auxiliary

LEWISTON – The Holy Cross Council 12652, Knights of Columbus, Auxiliary will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, in the Holy Cross Church Hall. A guest speaker, Terry Rodrigue, Creative Memories consultant, will introduce members to the technique of creating an album. All members are welcome and refreshments will be served.

AUBURN – Liberty Rebekah Lodge 94 is co-sponsoring a public noon meal of ham and all the fixings and homemade pies from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, at the Odd Fellows Hall, 50 Elm St.

Skating party

HEBRON – The second annual Founders Day Community Skating Party will be held from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, in Robinson Arena. People can join students, faculty and friends of Hebron Academy for the annual celebration. Hebron Academy will be turning 201. The event is open to the public free. Parking is available in the arena parking lot just off Route 119 in Hebron.

Bridge play

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club winners of the special STaC Tournament at Schooner Estates on Jan. 17 were: N/S, first, Dick Allen and Pete Cummings; second, Anna Vitiello and Les Buzzell; third, Cynthia Bonsey and Roger Briggs; fourth, Betty and Doug Sise.
