SOUTH PARIS – Annie Foster scored 27 points and went 4-for-4 from three-point land as Oxford Hills defeated Gardiner 72-40 in a girls’ basketball game on Friday.

Kari Pelletier also chipped-in with 13 points for the Vikings (7-1).

Annie Foster scored 11 of her 27 points in the second quarter to help Oxford Hills pull away as the Vikings outscored Gardiner 26-8 in that period.

Winthrop 49, Livermore Falls 39

LIVERMORE FALLS – Katie Pushard poured in a game-high 20 points to propel Winthrop to a 49-39 win over MVC rival Livermore Falls in girls’ basketball on Friday.

The Ramblers overcame a 29-26 first-half deficit, capped off with a 15-3 fourth quarter to put the game out of reach as Emilie Knight added 14 points to seal the win.

The Andies were led by Marjorie Debrosky with 10 points.

Mountain Valley 38, Lisbon 24

LISBON – Kristen Arsenault scorched the nets for 25 points to lead Mountain Valley to a 38-24 win over Lisbon in girls’ MVC basketball play on Friday

The Falcons built a 19-11 lead at the intermission behind the offensive outburst by Arsenault and continued to build the lead in the second half to secure the win.

The Greyhounds were led by Angie Estes with a team-high nine points.

Rangeley 76, NYA 39

YARMOUTH – Sarah Schrader dominated the game with 25 points and seven steals as the Rangeley remained unbeaten with a 76-39 victory over North Yarmouth Academy in boys’ basketball on Friday.

Rosie LaPointe chipped in with 16 points and Justine Frost-Kolva added 12 for Rangeley.

Katy Knight was the high scorer for NYA with eight.

Skowhegan 89, Leavitt 38

LEAVITT – Allie LaGross poured in 23 points, leading Skowhegan to an 89-38 victory over Leavitt in girls’ KVAC basketball play on Friday.

The Indians (7-1) jumped out to a 25-6 run in the first quarter and never looked back as Beth Sevey and Megan Faukin added 13 points apiece. Nicole Paradis rounded out the scoring with 11 points.

The Hornets (2-8) were led by Brittany Duncan and Stephanie Healey with 10 points each.

Camden Hills 87, Oak Hill 21

CAMDEN – Kayla Gushee drained a team-high 14 points and nailed two 3-pointers to carry Camden Hills to an 87-21 win against Oak Hill in girls’ basketball on Friday. Camden played outstanding defense in the first half, giving up just four points.

Ashly Mederios scored 10 points pulled down eight rebounds and had six steals for Oak Hill.

Greenville 44, Buckfield 27

GREENVILLE – Beth Hartley tallied 17 points to lead Greenville to a 44-27 win over Buckfield in girls’ basketball action Friday.

The Lakers (9-3) jumped out to a 27-3 lead at the intermission and never were challenged as they logged their ninth win of the season with Hannah Bretton adding 11 points.

The Bucks (4-9) were led by Shayna Shackford and Brittany Brackett who combined for 15 points.

Wiscasset 60, Jay 53

JAY – Senior guard Sarah Whitfield chalked up 30 points to lead Wiscasset to a 60-53 win over Jay in MVC girls’ basketball action Friday.

The Redskins (7-5) jumped out to a 25-14 lead at the half. Senior guard Amanda Davis recorded 14 points.

Sophomore point guard Kaylie DeMillo was the leading scorer for the Tigers (8-4) with 24 points, including five field goals from beyond the arc.

Junior forward Jessica Labrecque provided 13 points, including three treys of her own.
