You know, we don’t appreciate what people do. And we sure don’t appreciate those people we don’t see all the time, those in the background. Police, fire, city and state workers.

But even though I respect all them, I want to focus on one group, the Maine Legislature. They have been working real hard and under the gun to try to hear us. Anyway, now onto someone really special, Rep. Tom Shields, who is one of the most kind and smart men I have encountered.

He is a doctor. Doctor means he has risen to the top. He also knows how to talk so people listen and so his friends in the House listen.

They are very fortunate to have such a respected person’s attention. After all, there’s not too many times in this world when you can get a doctor’s attention without paying real heavy for it.

So, I for one am real glad to have a doctor in the House. I think with the statements being heard, we could use him in the Blaine House for a spell.
