RUMFORD – Annette M. Belanger, 80, of Washington St., died Sunday, Jan. 23, at Ledgeview Living Center in West Paris following a long courageous battle with Alzheimers.

She was born in Mexico, a daughter of Alphonse and Marie Anna (Blier) Ferland. She attended St. John’s and Stephens High School in Rumford.

She was employed for several years as an assistant deli manager at the Save More Store. She also worked for several years with the Dumoulin Catering Service, and the Bob Weston Catering Service, and she was also a communicant of St. Athanasius and St. John Catholic Church.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a talented seamstress who enjoyed knitting, snowmobiling, and camping at Sunset Cove and Roxbury Pond.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Lionel “G. Bel” Belanger of Rumford; a daughter, Rachelle Radke and husband, Michael, of Dixon, Ill.; a son, Richard O. Belanger and wife, Mary, of New York City, N.Y.; a twin sister, Anita Parise and husband, Therence, of Rumford; five grandchildren, Thomas M. Radke and wife, Susie, Patrick Belanger, Jennifer Belanger, Lisa Radke and Christie Belanger; one great-granddaughter, Alexandria Radke; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Edgar Ferland, Brother Wilfred Ferland, and Nelson Ferland.
