LEWISTON – Gertrude E. Rogers, 78, of 34 Andrea St., Lisbon, formerly of 169 Lothrop Road, Alna, died Saturday, Jan. 22 at Ste. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion.

Born in Middleton, Conn., Nov. 27, 1926, a daughter of William and Ruth Pierson Schutte, she was married to Captain Arno M. Rogers, who died Dec. 18, 2003.

She loved spending time with family and friends, and enjoyed doing plastic canvas.

She is survived by a daughter, Doris W. Cunningham and her husband, Robert, of Boothbay; her grandchildren, Hal and Vicki Runyon, and their children, Nick and Jenny, of Lisbon, and Charles and Nancy Cunningham of Boothbay; two sisters, Marion Forlivio, and Evelyn Raymond and her husband, Doug, all of Connecticut; a brother, Richard Schutte and his wife, Sandy, of Connecticut; a sister-in-law, Margaret Schutte of Connecticut; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
