This is in response to an Associated Press article in the Jan. 18 Sun Journal about Jerry Springer, who was trying to convince people that the war in Iraq is morally wrong.
Yes, it is truly sad that our soldiers are at risk during these trying times in Iraq and around the world. I pray for them daily.
Our soldiers are trying to keep the terrorists from our homeland and bring freedom and peace to a needy people. One look at the Iraqis, filled with hope and gratitude for the upcoming election, helps me see more clearly.
Was it not enough to acknowledge the threat of beheadings, the suicide and car bombs, and the bombing of three churches? Those acts should have awakened a multitude of believers.
I suggest Mr. Springer go back to his television show where he is best suited and leave the moral issues to men and women with greater vision and understanding.
