LEWISTON – Rose C. Driscoll, 76, of 28 Fortin Way, in Lewiston, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center after a long illness.

Born in Lewiston, on Aug. 3, 1928, she was the daughter of Etienne and Eva Cote Driscoll. She attended Lewiston schools and helped support her younger siblings at age 16, after the death of her mother. She was a mill worker until she retired to care for ill husband.

She married Edward Driscoll in 1949, and they had two children. Their son, Patrick, died at the age of 3 1/2. She enjoyed reading, music, playing cards, their cottage in Harpswell, and people.

She is survived by her daughter, Maureen and husband, Dennis Turcotte; a granddaughter, Renae Rose; three stepgrandchildren, Kerry, Kris and Kevin, and their spouses; four stepgreat-grandchildren; three sisters; four brothers; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; and one son.
