WILTON – State prosecutors have filed a domestic assault charge against Wilton Selectman Rodney A. Hall .

Hall, 37, owner of Hall Farms Maple Products in East Dixfield, was arrested Nov. 27, 2004, after a Bethel woman complained he pushed her into a cabinet during an argument at her home, Bethel police Officer Shane Thomas reported. Hall posted $250 cash bail and was released from Oxford County Jail. He was scheduled to be arraigned Jan. 4 in Rumford District Court, but his case was never heard because a police report was not given to with the District Attorney’s Office, Assistant District Attorney Joseph O’Connor said.

Thomas left the Bethel Police Department after the arrest and did not submit his report to Chief Alan Carr until after Jan. 4, Carr said. The chief gave it to the District Attorney’s Office on Jan. 10.

According to Thomas’ arrest report, Hall grabbed the woman and pushed her into the corner of a cabinet. The woman had several bruises, the report stated. The case is scheduled for March 1 in Rumford District Court. Hall declined comment on the case Friday and accused the Sun Journal of having a “free for all” with him.
