LEWISTON – Albertine Lapointe, 103, formally of 50 Tenth St., Auburn, died at d’Youville Pavilion Friday, Jan. 28, 2005. Born in St. Alexandre, P.Q., Canada on June 20, 1901, she was the daughter of Pierre and Alphonsine Pelletier Cloutier.

Educated in local schools, she went to work as a stainer at a local shoe manufacturing company.

She was married to the late Camille Lapointe, who passed away Oct. 25, 1966.

She was a member of the Sodality, Ladies of Saint Anne of Saint Louis, and a parishioner of St. Louis Church.

She loved playing cards and knitting, and loved spending her summers at Lower Flying Point in Freeport.

She is survived by her son, Gerard and his wife, Connie, of Auburn; one son-in-law, Louis Denis; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She also leaves behind a dear and close friend, Cecile Footman, of Lisbon.

She was predeceased by her parents; one son, Roger Lapointe; one daughter, Anita Denis; and by many brothers and sisters.
