LEWISTON – Roberta E. McDaniel, 64, of East Livermore, died Saturday afternoon, Jan. 29, at Central Maine Medical Center, where she had been a patient since Monday, following a long illness.
She was born May 12, 1940, in Livermore Falls, a daughter of Robert and Gertrude E. (Robinson) Goding. She received her education in local schools, and on March 22, 1958, married Bruce McDaniel in Livermore Falls.
For many years, she was employed at Livermore Shoe-Maine Woods, and for a brief time, at Digital, in Farmington. She was also employed in the housekeeping department at Kents Hill School and Parkview Nursing Home in Livermore Falls.
Her hobbies included arts and crafts, sewing, woodworking and flower gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce, of East Livermore; three daughters, Connie Beckler and her husband, David, of Livermore, Bonnie Whiting and her husband, Jeff of North Yarmouth, and Shirley McNear and her husband, Stephen, of Livermore; one sister, Gloria McDaniel of Livermore; six grandchildren, Andrew Beckler, Robert Beckler, Lydia Whiting, Mitchell Whiting, Brent McNear and Mathew McNear; and one great-grandson, Owen Beckler.
She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Goding; and a sister, Donna Tice.
