LEWISTON – Cecile B. Barcelou, 92, formerly of Lafayette Park, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, at Marshwood Center for Health Care.
She was born in Norway, Nov. 12, 1912, the daughter of Emile and Mary Martel Beaudoin. She was married Feb. 5, 1940, to Laureat Barcelou, who predeceased her March 6, 1968.
Prior to her retirement she was employed as a switchboard operator at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was a member of Holy Family Parish and will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by a daughter, Germaine Bolduc and husband, Leo, of Sabattus; a son, Robert B. Barcelou and wife, Rachel, of Auburn; five grandchildren, Bobby Barcelou and wife, Lacey, Chris Barcelou Raymond and husband, Christopher, Shawn Barcelou, Sgt. Michael Bolduc, serving in Iraq, and wife, Lori, and Paul B. Bolduc; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by five brothers; six sisters; and a great-granddaughter, Samantha Raymond.
