POLAND – Jenn Dionne led a balanced scoring attack with 15 points to pace Poland to its initial win of the season, a 48-43 triumph over Sacopee Valley.
The Knights (1-15) placed 10 players in the scoring column, taking advantage of a 12-6 run in the third quarter.
The Hawks were led by Katie Pike with 13 points.
Rangeley 59, Greenville 46
GREENVILLE – Sarah Schrader poured in 20 points to lead undefeated Rangeley to a 59-46 win over Greenville in girls’ basketball action.
Krysteen Romero added 17 points and hauled down 19 rebounds for the Lakers (16-0), while Nicole Crupi chipped in with 11 points.
Greenville was led by Beth Bartley with 15 points.
Gould 58, Seacoast 51
BETHEL – Junior guard Heather Kelleher scored 24 points to lead Gould to a 58-51 victoey over Seacoast.
The Huskies (12-4) received fine offensive support from freshman guard Amelia Allen with 14 points and junior guard Carley Rudd with 11.
Gould and Seacoast were knotted up 21-21 at the half.
Hampden 45, EL 21
AUBURN – Jill Beal and Tanna Ross combined for 34 points as Hampden routed Edward Little 45-21 in KVAC girls’ basketball action Friday.
Beal recorded 17 points for Hampden (7-5), including a 3-pointer. Ross, who is a sophomore, also peeled off 17 points in the winning effort.
Sophomore guard Allie Forgues had a team-high eight points for the Red Eddies (3-9), and sophomore forward Kelsey Nicholas hauled down 10 rebounds.
Oxford Hills 62, Morse 35
BATH – Annie Foster scored 13 of her game-high 20 points in the first quarter as Oxford Hills erupted for 30 points in the stanza en route to a 62-35 victory.
Foster hit all three of her 3-pointers in the opening quarter as the Vikings (10-2) outscored the Shipbuilders (5-8) 30-6. Kelsea Pelletier added 12 points for Oxford Hills.
Jill Henrikson led Morse with 18 points.
Lewiston 56, Medomak Valley 40
WALDOBORO – Senior forward Tracy Bradley had a game-high 14 points to lead Lewiston to a 56-40 win over Medomak Valley in KVAC girls’ basketball action Friday.
The Blue Devils (7-4) led 28-15 at the half, and outpaced the Panthers each step of the way. Senior forward Alison Coleman garnered 13 points, while senior point guard Kelsey Varney added 11 for Lewiston.
