It comes as no shock that Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow on Groundhog Day. As the legend goes, because Phil saw his shadow, we can expect six more weeks of winter.

Phil, you see, lives in warmer climes, down Pennsylvania way, not too far from Pittsburgh. And while there may be some question of whether folks down there can expect more wintry weather, we’re sure that the cold in Maine will extend beyond the second week of March. But there’s no harm hoping, we suppose.

The little furry forecaster says six more weeks of winter. We wish.
