AUBURN – Shirley E. (Dudley) (Hyde) Tedeschi, 71, of Auburn, died Thursday, Feb. 3, at Clover Manor in Auburn.

She was born, Dec. 21, 1933, in Augusta, the 11th child of Eben and Gertrude (Smith) Dudley. She attended Augusta schools and lived in Augusta most of her life.

She worked in the shoe industry around Augusta for most of her career. More recently, she lived in Auburn.

She is survived by her son, Maurice C. Hyde Jr. of Lewiston; a stepson, Robert J. Tedeschi Jr. and his wife, Sandra, of Vienna, Va.; siblings, Marjorie Ainslie of Augusta, Beverly Philbrick of Oakland, Roberta Woodward of Sidney, Norma Maxim of Winthrop, and Virginia Cloutier of East Winthrop; three stepbrothers, Frederick Young of Belgrade, Cedric Young of Belgrade, and Raymond Young of Litchfield; her grandchildren, Christopher Edward Hyde, Kimberly Ann Hyde, Matt Tedeschi, and Sarah Tedeschi; and along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert J. Tedeschi Sr. of Lewiston in 1988; her siblings, Lillian Ladner, Madeline Charest, Robert Dudley, Fred Dudley, Donald Dudley, Lena Reed, and Cecelia Farnham; and a granddaughter, Angela Marie Hyde, in 1980.
