The billionaires who rode up to the White House in their limousines to dine at the inaugural for the president remind me of emperor Nero who supposedly played his violin while the Roman Empire was crumbling. Those men probably are the same ones who moved their factories overseas to produce goods with cheap labor.

President Reagan spent more money than all the presidents before him, but President Bush will outspend him by a large margin, pushing the country’s deficit into the trillions.

The U.S. consumer could reduce the trade deficit by not buying any goods made in China for a year. Just don’t buy those things, or return bought items to the retailers.

Our Congress cannot fix things but each individual in the country certainly could. Then more of our factories in the shoe and textile industries could return to our shores.

With President Reagan helping Saddam Hussein of Iraq fight a war against Iran, Iran will not be favoring a democracy in Iraq. And we cannot afford a war with Iran.

China and Japan will own this country if President Bush does not change his agenda real soon.
