FARMINGTON – Chester M. Gammon, 70, died Sunday, Feb. 6, at the Franklin Memorial Hospital, Farmington. He had resided on the Rumford Center Road, Andover.

He was born in Peru, on Oct. 12, 1934, a son of Ira and Mary (Lufkin) Gammon, and had attended schools in Peru.

He worked in the woods as a Skidder Driver, trucked hay, and was a Cattle Dealer for most of his life.

He was married in Andover, on Oct. 9, 1967, to the former Donna Blackwell, who survives him of Andover. Other survivors include two daughters, Jackie Gammon of Andover, and Tracy Gammon and companion, Dale Richard, of Andover; three sons, Mace of Texas, Brice of Andover, and Mike Gammon of Massachusetts; one granddaughter, Kayla Morton of Andover; three sisters, Mary Bailey and husband, Clarence, Marilyn White both of Andover, and Marion Gordon and husband, Bob, of Dixfield; and three brothers, Franklin of Andover, Clifford of Peru, and Ira Gammon and wife, Joyce, of Dixfield.

He was predeceased by a half brother, Fred Lufkin; brothers, Warren and Milan Gammon; two sisters, June Hutchins, and Elaine Akers; and a son, Chester Gammon Jr.
