I agree with Rachel Rodrigue’s comments in her Feb. 1 letter to the editor. I’m sick and tired of these do-gooders who claim that God anointed Bush and who insinuate that Bush has a “direct line” to God. If that be the case, why doesn’t Bush talk God into helping feed the 14 million hungry children who live in our country? Bush lives in luxury while children go hungry.

Bush spent billions of our taxpayer dollars to demolish Iraq and now expects taxpayers to spend billions more to rebuild it. It will take generations to pay off our huge deficit. He is considering increasing the death gratuity to pay for the lives of our troops, as if that would bring them back. How about giving our wounded troops unlimited access to long-distance telephone calls?

As for the comments made by John Wagg a couple weeks ago that Saddam Hussein killed thousands of our people on our soil, he needs to get his facts straight. It was al-Qaida who was responsible for that. Vice President Cheney did a good job brainwashing people into thinking it was Saddam, but Cheney finally admitted he was wrong.

One last thing: A true Christian would accept gays and treat them like human beings. And no, I’m not gay – I just believe that all men are created equal.
